**Social Workers Awards spread across the globe**

Thanks to social work awards programs like that in the UK, Western Australia was able to establish the first awards program in Australia.  The very first W.A. Social Worker of the Year Awards ceremony was held on the 23rd June 2009 and used information from the UK program (as well as other countries) to establish it's processes and procedures. We thank the UK and Beverley for all of your help.
